Please take a closer look at this cartoon followed by her artist's statement about Rain Barrels here.

Customer of the Month... Marine Pollution Control...
Hydraulic Drum Skimmer Recovery System Hydraulic Drum Skimmer Recovery System Marine Pollution Control (MPC) is a leader in the environmental services industry. Today, they are an international company. However, if you trace back their roots, you will find that they were founded right here in Detroit, MI in 1967. Originally, MPC focused on oil and hazardous spill response.
(They were one of the first in the world!) They have maintained a role as a leader in this field. MPC has helped clean up some of the most serious modern pollution incidents, such as the Argo Merchant (1976) off the coast of Nantucket. They even were in the Persian Gulf during Operation Desert Storm! (MPC personnel served on the Inter-Agency Assessment Team of the United Nation’s International Maritime Organization.)

For over 20 years, MPC has purchased Steel, Plastic, & Fiber Drums, Plastic & Steel Pails, New, Reconditioned & Remanufactured Totes / IBC’s, and Hazardous Waste Bags & Boxes, Vermiculite, as well as Salvage and Overpack Drums from Maxi. Maxi is an advocate of helping to increase water quality through rainwater conservation, and we are proud to assist MPC in fighting pollution in our waters. When asked about doing business with Maxi, this is what they had to say:

“I can always count on Maxi... Maxi always has great pricing and great service!”

“Maxi has always gone above and beyond my expectations delivering first rate products and service every time I have called on them!”

William Cooley
Purchasing Manager

Fun With Drums... Wine Barrel Hotel...

Are you a wine connoisseur? Here is your chance to stay inside of an aged 1,000 liter Swiss wine barrel. Yes, we said liters which means that this is not an American attraction. You will only find this hotel in Stavoren, Holland. These barrels formerly contained Beaujolais wine from the French chateau area. Located in a very old port in northern Holland this hotel is a must stop destination for any wine lover. There are only four rooms, so get your reservation early!
