Maxi Container
Inc.'s Apple Pie bake off???
Things really heated up on October 12th during Maxi Container's first ever pie bake off. The
top two pies belonged to Annette Winkle & Joshua Rubin.
Congratulations Joshua & Annette. Their complete recipes can
downloaded by clicking the name of the pie. Ingredients of each pie are
listed below.
Annette's Apple Pie:
For the best tasting pie always choose firm, tart green apples.
Ingredients:
-1 Pre-made Pie Crust.
-8 medium ( 4 pounds) tart green apples.
-1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice.
-1 1/4 cups granulated sugar.
-1/4 cup all-purpose flour.
-1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon.
Pinch of Kosher or coarse salt.
-2 tablespoons unsalted butter.
-1 egg white, beaten lightly- optional.
-1 teaspoon sugar for sprinkling (coarse sugar is nice)- optional.

Joshua's Apple Pie
Ingredients:
-3/4 cup light brown sugar.
-1/4 cup all-purpose flour.
-3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, plus more for sprinkling freshly ground nutmeg, to taste.
-7 medium apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced.
-1 lemon.
-3 tablespoons butter, diced
-Egg Wash, for Brushing.
-Sugar for sprinkling.

Oct. 20th 2010, two little kittens were found on the Maxi premises by
one of our freight company representatives. She brought them to our
attention and we took them in and gave them a cozy home in our office.

Sugar & Spice, both are extremely playful and happy little kittens.
Having these fun loving little animals in the office improves the
office staff morale, thus making the Maxi office a much happier
environment. We would like to officially welcome Sugar & Spice to
our Maxi family.

Re-Manufactured 275-gallon
& 330-gallon Totes.... 
Here
at Maxi Container, we strive to reuse our products as much as possible.
For example, we take used 275-gallon and 330-gallon IBC's and reuse
their salvageable cages. Then we put in a new HDPE (High Density
Polyethylene) food grade plastic bottle, turning them into a
re-manufactured IBC. By reusing cages we can save our customers money
and help the environment at the same time. Re-manufacturing IBC's helps
keep more items out of landfills and helps reduce greenhouse gases.
A re-manufactured IBC can be used for either food or regulated
(hazardous) products. The IBC's unique modular design allows customers
to choose the valves that they require. We stock both the 275-gallon and
the 330-gallon IBC with either a standard NPT (National Pipe Thread)
or Cam-Lock ball valve. Maxi offers special custom programs for
customers who recycle their IBC's with us. By recycling your used IBC's
with Maxi you will save money and help the environment too.
